This week I was able to interview Adrianne Gilbreath of Everyday Occasion of Texas. She got her start in the industry from planning her own Wedding with an Event Planner.
Wedit: How did you get your start in the Event Planning Industry?
Adrianne: In 2014 my love proposed to me. I began planning and loved every minute of it, but I ran into a few issues with the venue and knew I needed some expertise. I hired a planner who navigated that process and handled all the day-of issues, including me, starting my day at the ER🤦🏾♀️. After planning most of my special day and her expertise, I knew I wanted to do this professionally!
Wedit: What is your favorite part of the industry?
Adrianne: I love organizing and the behind the scenes details. That’s what makes my heart pitter patter.
Wedit: What are your favorite wedding trends this year?
Adrianne: I am totally into the greenery this year. Not a ton of colorful flowers but things like eucalyptus, white flowers, and natural woods. It’s like walking into a beautiful forest.
Wedit: What is the biggest change you have seen since the start of your career?
I’m in the beginning phases of my career so I’m figuring it out as I go, but I’ve hired business coaches to guide me and with their expert advice I have seen growth.
Wedit: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Adrianne: Network, network, network! It’s all about relationships and I love building new ones!
