Check out the Featured Bride and Groom of March. This couple was married September 28, 2013. We hope you love their story as much as we do!
TJ’s bio: As every couple does, we place bets from time to time on who’s right and who’s wrong. I let her win on the stipulation that she would get a date night (Friday 9/28) to the restaurant of her choice. I narrowed it down to two Italian restaurants here in town. She chose Rossini’s, a romantic restaurant close to the house. In order to set the mood, I hired a violinist to serenade us at the restaurant and great photographer to capture the moment. The night of our proposal, it was rainy outside and I wasn’t dressed, so she suggested us moving the date to the following night. It took all I had to play it cool and not scream ‘NO, we have to go tonight!’ We had to be there at the right time to ensure the photographer and the violinist were in place. We arrived to the restaurant just as the photographer and the violinist were walking in, so they awkwardly pretended to know each other and hide the instrument. The mood was perfect, the lighting was low, music was gentle, and even the cold rain gave being inside for dinner a certain warmth. She was sat with her back to the restaurant, so the violin and any on-lookers wouldn’t get her attention. When the time came, as the violinist approached the restaurant staff gathered around and the music started. I got down on one knee and her eyes and face turned to disbelief. I affirmed it was a yes! And one year to the day of our proposal we were married.
Nicole’s bio: When we started the planning process, our wedding planner (my mom – lucky me!!) asked us to pick 5 words to describe our wedding: romantic, soft, organic, warm, fun. We wanted the day to have an effortless, unplanned feeling – it actually takes a lot of planning, faith, and love to create that type of event! And we needed all three (planning, faith, love) to make it through our very rainy wedding day! As every couple does with an outdoor ceremony, we checked the weather reports endlessly with the chance of rain increasing daily leading up to our day! On the day of, we watched as the rain poured down on the ceremony site. It actually a beautiful rain – a true Texas thunderstorm. Family and friends checked in on me non-stop throughout the day, I guess they thought I would be panicked. But to their surprise, and mine, I felt completely calm relishing in the fact that I would marry the man of my dreams rain or shine. As our video shows, having faith worked, because the sky cleared 15 minutes before our ceremony – creating a beautiful sky for a magical day!
Why wedit: We are so thankful to have found Wedit – the cameras met so many of our wedding day requirements! As with most couples, we had a very hard time selecting, which family/friends would participate in our wedding. With 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen, we were out of space in the wedding party! The cameras provided an opportunity for close friends and family to participate in the wedding in such an intimate way. We loved that each person we chose would be a permanent and very important part of our wedding. On the more practical side, Wedit is a cost effective way to have a beautiful wedding video while staying within our budget. Finally, the cameras lent themselves perfectly to the style we wanted for both our wedding and wedding video.
Our goal was to create an organic feel to the evening – these cameras exemplify “organic” with each capturing a unique perspective and perfectly put together and edited by the Wedit team!
Thank you Nicole & TJ for allowing us to share your story.
